Today, in Novi Pazar, we took part in another in a series of events within the national project "Serbia, the land of science, the land of innovation", which aims to familiarize the public with programs to support the development of science and innovation, funding sources and scientific achievements in our country.

Today, for the first time, one of the projects supported by the strategically important Green Program of cooperation between science and business was presented. The #OxyRePair project works on the development of technology for the recycling of electrode waste generated during the production of metal food packaging and metal powders.

Participant in the OxyRePair project, Dr. Enisa Selimović from the State University in Novi Pazar, presented at the event the activities of the project and the work on the development of solutions that will be implemented in cooperation with the economy. The project will develop an innovative solution in the treatment of electrode waste that will be able to be reused in production. In addition, with the help of this technology, electrode waste will be able to be used for energy storage from renewable sources, industrial wastewater treatment and corrosion protection.

Sonja Budiša Milenković addressed those present at the event in Novi Pazar in front of the RS Science Fund, who presented the work of the Science Fund, programs through which support is provided to our researchers and projects implemented by researchers from Novi Pazar.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, representatives of the city of Novi Pazar and the Regional Innovation Start-up Center in Novi Pazar, representatives of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, the Fund for Innovation Activities, the Center for the Promotion of Science, young researchers, students, high school students and other interested citizens.
